- This text investigates the state of the art and future challenges for building conservation education on the master’s level. The main objective is to illuminate the content knowledge, cognitive strategies, and particular skills that are required to master the science of building conservation. The results suggest that traditional professions are being challenged to assume new roles and incorporate new skills. Looking to the future, building conservation education will require an integrated approach that focuses on the skills and expertise for interdisciplinary collaboration on complex conservation processes.
