Asymmetric hydrogenation in industry

• Since its early years, the direct asymmetric hydrogenation reaction has been extensively used in industry. This chapter summarized the progresses made in this field from 2015 until the beginning of 2021 through several reported examples. The principal goal in industry is to achieve robust and cost-effective production processes, and one of the most important parameters is the choice of the catalyst. Therefore, in this chapter it was also discussed the different approaches followed by the companies for its selection.
