Free competition and social utility

• The article deals with the Swedish steel producer organisation's relations to the ECSC during the 1950s. The description of ECSC as a way to achieve free sompetition and liberalism is questioned. it is argued that the organisation meant a lot of state regulation not least towards outsiders like Sweden.
