SKF - A global story 1907-2007

• A century has now passed since SKF was founded. In just a few years the company became not only one of Sweden's largest enterprises but also the world's leading manufacturer of rolling bearings. this unparalleled success was underpinned by sven Wingquist's ingenious innovatio - the self-aligning ball bearing - and also by intensive international marketing. the first factory outside Sweden was established in Luton, England in 1910. SKF had factories in numbers of other countries and representation nearly all over the world.
