- The purpose of this chapter is to re-examine the concept of quality in education from a contemporary quality management perspective. Since the 1990s quality management has expanded to embrace the principles of chaos and complexity theory which provides new insights into leading in an age of complexity. This expanded perspective of is important for educators to develop and sustain quality in schools to prepare youth with knowledge and skills for living and work in the future.
