This chapter examines the epistemological potential of a poetry that moves between languages and media, and how this potential can be put into use in relation to the Anthropocene, regarded as a planetary crisis. The literary example that works as a touchstone is the transmedial and multilingual work of Swedish/Finnish/German poet and artist Cia Rinne (b. 1973). As the primary backdrop for these ideas lies the philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. In combination with poetic practice, their ideas of e.g. “schizoanalysis,” “planes of immanence,” “the rhizomatic,” “lines of flight,” and “the minoritarian,” can assist in conceptualizing classrooms that do not keep on repeating the discourses that have taken the relationship between humankind and Earth to the threshold state of the Anthropocene.
