An Ontology of the Other : Reflections on Michel de Certeau's Philosophy

• The author examines the relations between the notion of the Other, historiography and relational ontology and Certeau's particular vision about them. In his work, Certeau attempts to understand the Other and to incorporate it into historiographical discourses through the employment of different concepts - strategy, tactics, heterology- that are analyzed in this paper as fundamental elements in Certeau's thinking in this field.
